Import / Export Clerk Freight Forwarder

Full-Time Employee
Salary:
For New Entrant: GBP 22,500 per annum
For Applicants over 26 years old: GBP 27,000 per annum
Allowances:
4 weeks paid holidays in a year. All are included in the above salary.
Job Description:
GR Freight Services Ltd is looking to recruit an Import/Export Clerk full-time based in Southall. We are looking for a person to work within a small team interacting with people across the telephone and face to face. They will need to operate and facilitate freight enquiries and customer transactions for both import and export services across all modes of air freight/Ocean Freight and EU roads. We prefer if a candidate has UK Driving License Because sometimes we need to pick up shipments from airports so if our drivers are busy so he can collect shipments from the airport as well. Basic Computer Operating knowledge with Microsoft Office and Excel skills are required.
· Custom Entry · Dealing with air freight imports · Updating clients on their shipments · Monitoring shipments · Arranging Air & Sea Freight Imports · Dealing with custom-related complaints · Maintain records regarding the movement and location of freight, containers and staff. · Complete certificates of origin when required. · Check the bill of lading prior to sending to client for approval – Amendments to documents where required. |
